The Fourth Annual Legislative Barber Shop "A Different Kind of Cut" was held on March 10, 2010 from 9:00 am - 2:30 pm at the Alabama State House in the 6th Floor Lobby located at 11 South Union Street in Montgomery, Alabama
Organized by Alabama's top poverty fighting organization, the Community Action Association of Alabama (CAAA), the fourth annual "Legislative Barber Shop" is one of Alabama's most innovative and direct methods for citizens to interact with elected officials.

Our Legislative Barber Shop creates a rare opportunity for elected officials to have direct dialogue about poverty issues facing more than 700,000 Alabamians. Citizens can discuss the issues that are important to them in a casual barbershop-like atmosphere.

Everyone that attends the event, including elected officials, will receive free haircuts or manicures provided by nearly a dozen trained barbers or cosmetologists from Central Alabama.
